Visual art and sound art are always regarded as different artistic forms, but visual sense and auditory sense are important and closely-related sensory experience of human being. Therefore, more and more artists begin to explore a new artistic form which can connect visual sense with auditory sense. An immersive audiovisual performance integrating visual elements and sound is created by three young artists Miao Jing, Liu Chang and Gan Jian. The digital technology and experimental audio elements are applied to integrate their thoughts concerning “Time, Space and Memory” into this work. Composed of digital figures, their Audiovisual Installation is simple, cold, delicate and filled with the change of lights and shadows. Many “manufactured landscapes” like urban buildings, neon lights and giant landscapes are implied in this work, which makes people reflect the rapid development of industry, science and technology in urban areas and rethink the urban consumerism. Meanwhile, people can experience the poetic beauty of manufactured landscapes.
